Cliff’s 101 Tips for Health: Avoid most breakfast cereals

General rule: avoid breakfast cereals.

Many breakfast cereals are marketed as health foods but are no more than sugary candy that spike blood sugar levels, promote fat gain, and are devoid of real nutrition.

It is best to avoid them totally unless it’s a brand that you know you can trust like ‘Primal Muesli’ and ‘No-Grain-Ola’ made by Pure Delish, or if it’s a nut and seed-based (low or no grain) muesli that you make at home. Again, if you are very carb-tolerant, and are using cereals as an addition (almost like a supplement) to an otherwise very nutrient-rich diet, they may be OK. But they are not good staple foods.

General rule: avoid breakfast cereals.
